CNDH CALLS ON MEXICAN AUTHORITIES TO RESPECT AND RECOGNIZE THE RIGHTS OF PERSONS IN A CONTEXT OF MOBILITY

In the framework of International Migrants Day, the National Human Rights Commission (CNDH) calls on all competent Mexican authorities to respect and recognize the rights of all persons in the context of migration who are in national territory, both for reasons of origin, destination, transit and return, emphasizing special protection for those groups in vulnerable situations.

CNDH urges the authorities of the State of Mexico to investigate the murder of Sandra Ibeth Ochoa with a gender perspective.

The National Human Rights Commission (CNDH) condemns the murder of the professor of the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN), Sandra Ibeth Ochoa García, who was reported missing on December 8 in the State of Mexico, and was later found dead in the same state. Therefore, it makes a strong appeal to the authorities of the State of Mexico to carry out an investigation with a gender perspective, in accordance with the established protocols to clarify this feminicide until the perpetrator or perpetrators are found.
