For the new CNDH

With the purpose of fostering a respectful and appropriate working relationship among the public servants that make up the National Human Rights Commission, the president of this national agency, Rosario Piedra Ibarra, signed the Policy on Gender Equality, Non-Discrimination, Inclusion, Diversity and Non-Violence in the CNDH 2020-2024.

This document establishes the general principles and strategic axes to promote an institutional culture of equality between women and men, without discrimination, inclusive, with respect for diversity and free of all forms of violence against women.

The Policy on Gender Equality, Non-Discrimination, Inclusion, Diversity and Access to a Life Free of Violence 2020- 2024 is applicable to all Administrative Bodies and Units of the National Commission and is mandatory for all personnel working in it, regardless of their position, form of hiring or geographical location.

The actions of the National Commission’s public servants are based on the principle of full respect for human dignity.

As a complement to this principle and to the commitments and values assumed by the personnel through the Code of Ethics and the Code of Conduct, three principles are established for the Policy on Gender Equality, Non-Discrimination, Inclusion, Diversity and Access to a Life Free of Violence 2020-2024, which each public servant will be responsible for adopting individually and promoting collectively and institutionally. – Principle of gender equality. – Principle of non-discrimination. – Principle of inclusion.

The Administrative Bodies and Units of the National Commission shall promote, in their respective spheres, the implementation of the actions and mechanisms of the Policy and shall favor its dissemination among their personnel.

The implementation of this policy will be harmonized with the Mexican Standard NMX-R-025-SCFI-2015, where the evaluation, audit and follow-up of the actions will be in observance of the existing mechanisms in the National Commission and the Gender Equality Unit.
