Supervise, documents and reports about all violations of human rights: CNDH

Accompaniment was provided to women protesting against gender violence.

CNDH staff accompanied demonstrators from the beginning of the march in Mexico City to eradicate gender violence and to protest the femicides of Victoria and Karla, both in the state of Quintana Roo. The CNDH was vigilant for the entire process, as it supervised, documented and reported on all violations of human rights, prioritizing that the authorities guaranteed the right to security and free expression.

At the event, and with evidence of the accompaniment by personnel belonging to the First and Fifth Visitors’ Offices, the CNDH clarified fake information from one media publication that denied the presence of this national organization at the protest event.

The CNDH is vigilant that human rights are respected without discrimination, that everyone has the right to protest, supervises the application of limited restrictions, that the authorities facilitate the protests and that force is used if strictly unavoidable by observing, monitoring and recording every step of the march.
