“Business Responsibility for the Human Rights of People Living with HIV”

This approval constitutes an important step forward in the protection of women’s human rights.

The virtual forum The responsibility of companies and their relationship with the human rights of people living with HIV had as guests Alexia Cerezo Méndez from the Human Rights and Companies Program and Luis Raúl Albores Morales from the Special Program on Sexuality, Health and HIV, both from this national commission. The objective is to disseminate and contribute to strengthen a corporate culture of respect for the human rights of people living with HIV since, through writings of people living with this disease, alleged acts of discrimination committed against them because of their health condition were known.

This National Commission carried out several actions to address these complaints, in this case, the relationship between companies and the human rights of people living with HIV have been affected by the discrimination exercised by some employers against these populations.

This space is a dialogue based on some questions to the panelists, which are part of the most frequent concerns of people who are close to these programs.
