2020 DIAGNOSIS on the HR of MEXICANS RETURNING from the United States of America

The CNDH presents to the public opinion and the competent authorities the “2020 Diagnosis on the Human Rights of Mexicans Returning from the United States of America”, whose objective is to systematize the rights and programs that exist and that should be demanded at four moments: during their detention and transfer from the neighboring country, as well as in the reception process in Mexico by Mexican authorities and for their reintegration through access to various social programs in health, education, work and housing. With the detention and deportation of our nationals, family and cultural ties are broken, the history of sister cultures, of transnational families, of global dreams is denied. Fundamental human rights to mobility, to due process, to consular assistance, to human security are violated.
