CNDH and UNHCR conduct visits to migrant shelters in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua

The objective is to supervise that inter-institutional and coordinated attention is provided to migrants.

The personnel of the National Human Rights Commission (CNDH) visited various migrant shelters in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, together with representatives of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the Federal Institute of the Public Defender’s Office (Instituto Federal de la Defensoría Pública).

The visits were carried out with the purpose of providing inter-institutional and coordinated attention in favor of persons in the context of international migration.

The CNDH will continue to be open to any inter-institutional work that may be necessary to guarantee respect for and protection of the human rights of persons in international mobility.
