Is Necessary to Redouble Efforts in Favor of Peace and Respect for the Children Human Dignity: Rosario Piedra Ibarra.

The CNDH’s president receives the investiture “Child Caregiver”.

Given the complex situation that children are going through to access their fundamental rights, such as education, public space and free development, today more that ever it is necessary to redouble efforts in pro of building an environment of peace and respect for human dignity, said the President of the National Human Rights Commission (CNDH), Rosario Piedra Ibarra.

Upon receiving the “Child Caregiver” award from the Oaxacan soprano Estephanya Leyva, through her Foundation “Fany Leyva”, Rosario Piedra Ibarra assured that this honor is an impulse to continue working for equal conditions for Mexican childhood, building a culture of peace and generating an environment where we can all live free of violence.


This award intention is to promote the values of recognition that empower children and youth and awaken adulthood, incentives to continue the task of living a better, sustainable and peaceful world.


The CNDH’s president also reaffirmed the commitment she has maintained and strengthen since the beginning of her administration with the best interest of children and adolescents, to ensure the full enjoyment and exercise of their rights and holistic development.
