Authorities must comply with Recommendation 7VG/2017

CNDH calls to comply with debt to victims and relatives of the case Nochixtlán, Oaxaca

The National Human Rights Commission (CNDH) considers that the rights to truth, justice and reparation are the answer that would allow the clarification, investigation, prosecution and punishment of serious cases of human rights violations by government authority.

These rights constitute a fundamental pillar for combating impunity and constitute an indispensable mechanism of justice for any democratic State, since it contributes to the non-repetition of such violations.

We reiterate the call to the federal, state and municipal authorities to fully address Recommendation 7VG/2017 for the acts of violence in Nochixtlán, Oaxaca and to show greater political will so that all the necessary steps are carried out in order to ensure that the victims obtain justice, reparation of the damage and guarantee of non-repetition.

It should be noted that this National Commission is working with different actors involved in dialogue to provide a process of dialogue that will facilitate the search for a solution that ratifies the conviction that due compliance with and application of the law should be the guideline that effectively governs relations between society.
