CNDH urges society in general not to make lesbian and intersex people invisible

It is urgent to complement public policy work in favor of LGBTTTIQ+ people

The CNDH recognizes the exemplary and historic struggle that gay and bisexual people have waged in favor of the human rights of their peers and, likewise, endorses its commitment to women, who have been violated to the point of making them invisible as lesbian women or trans women.

It is of the utmost importance not to speak on behalf of historically violated groups, since the violation of their human rights must be combated from their perspective and from their decisions, so the needs of intersex people must not be neglected.

From this Autonomous Public Body we will continue to carry out actions in defense of the human rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual, transgender, transvestite, intersex and queer people, encouraging the authorities – within the strict scope of their competences – to generate and implement public policies equipped with a budget to meet their needs.
