CNDH welcomes reform that gives people the widest protection of their human rights

This reform is of importance, since currently the aforementioned article states that for the defense and promotion of human rights the principles of universality, interdependence, indivisibility and progressivity will be observed and, with the modification – promoted by Deputy María Irma Terán Villalobos – it is added: “favoring at all times to people the widest protection”, which has been of particular interest in the current management of the CNDH.

CNDH speaks out against political violence and for the right to democracy in Quintana Roo.

The CNDH respectfully urges the head of the State Executive, president of the Superior Court of Justice and the Attorney General of the state of Quintana Roo, in the exercise of their powers, to fulfill their obligation to promote, respect, protect and guarantee the human right to democracy, which implies respect for the vote and the right to have authentic elections, which guarantee the free expression of the will of the voters of the community of the municipality of Solidaridad, in the State of Quintana Roo.

CNDH and CEDH of Durango sign collaboration agreement with 48 Civil Society Organizations

The National Human Rights Commission (CNDH), the State Human Rights Commission (CEDH) of Durango and 48 local Civil Society Organizations signed the same number of Collaboration Agreements in favor of the dignity of persons and the consolidation of the constitutional and democratic State of law in the state of Durango.

The president of the CNDH recognized the fundamental role that social organizations play in the construction of the culture of peace and respect for human rights, since “they have contributed to the defense and promotion of human dignity, promoting social changes of great relevance in the development and well-being of the country.”

CNDH will follow up on the case of the students of the “Mactumactzá” Normal School, in Chiapas

In view of the determination of the judge of control of the Judicial Branch of the State of Chiapas, by means of which it was ordered that the students of the “Mactumactzá” Normal School, arrested a few days ago, continue their process in freedom, the National Human Rights Commission (CNDH) reiterates its commitment to follow up on the case and ensure that they are respected
your rights and integrity.

The CNDH will continue to ensure that the rights of the students of the
Normal Rural School “Mactumactzá”, as well as their families, during the aforementioned criminal process.
